The EATON BUSSMANN gmd-2-r is a 2 amp, 250 volt time-delay electronic fuse designed for protection of sensitive electronic circuits and low-voltage control systems. Constructed with a brass body in the standard 5 mm diameter by 20 mm length form factor, this fuse offers an interrupt rating of 10 kAIC and a non-indicating design. It terminates with ferrule ends on both sides for secure, tool-free installation in standard panel-mount and PCB-mount fuse holders. Electricians and electronics technicians install this fuse in control boards, instrumentation panels, and low-current circuit protection applications.
This fuse is suited for electronic circuit protection in residential and light commercial control applications. The time-delay response characteristic — with a maximum blow time of 2 minutes at 200 percent of rated current and a minimum hold time of 5 seconds at 200 percent — allows momentary inrush currents to pass without nuisance opening. It is a commonly used replacement fuse in control panels, HVAC equipment boards, and general electronic assemblies requiring a 5 mm by 20 mm glass-body ferrule fuse.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 5 mm by 20 mm ferrule-end electronic fuses rated 2 amps at 250 volts in control boards and electronic circuit protection applications.
Installation of fuses should be performed by a qualified electrician or HVAC technician in accordance with NEC guidelines. Always de-energize and lockout the circuit before replacing a fuse. Verify the replacement fuse amperage, voltage, and time-delay rating match the original before installing. Never substitute a higher-rated fuse to bypass a protection circuit.
