The EATON BP/T-6-1/4 is a Fusetron Type-T time-delay, dual-element, Edison base plug fuse rated at 6.25 amps and 125 volts AC. The dual-element construction separates overload response from short-circuit response, allowing the fuse to absorb repeated motor inrush current without nuisance opening while still providing fast, decisive protection against short circuits. It carries a 10,000 AIC interrupting rating and is UL listed. The extra-large clear window gives technicians an immediate visual indication of fuse condition without removing the fuse from its receptacle.
This fuse is designed for residential and light commercial circuits where inductive motor loads cycle on and off frequently. Typical applications include swamp coolers, residential air conditioners, furnace blowers, swimming pool pumps, and deep freezers. Any circuit serving a motor that starts and stops repeatedly under load is a strong candidate for this Type-T time-delay fuse. It threads directly into standard Edison base fuse receptacles found in older residential panels and load centers.
Designed as a direct replacement for Type-T Edison base plug fuses in standard residential fuse panels and load centers serving swamp coolers, air conditioners, furnace blowers, swimming pool pumps, deep freezers, and similar motor-driven equipment.
Installation and replacement of plug fuses must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements. Always shut off or disconnect the load circuit before removing or installing a fuse. Never replace a fuse with one of a higher ampere rating, as this defeats overcurrent protection for the circuit conductors. Inspect the fuse receptacle threads for corrosion or damage before installing the replacement fuse.
