The EATON BP/T-25 is a Fusetron Type-T dual-element, time-delay plug fuse rated at 25 amps and 125 volts AC. It is designed for circuits that experience repeated motor startups, where a standard fuse would open prematurely under the initial inrush current. The dual-element construction separates the overload and short-circuit protection functions, allowing the fuse to hold through normal motor startup while still clearing true faults quickly. An extra-large clear window makes it easy to inspect the fuse condition without removal. This 2-pack is sold as a unit. Installation is handled by licensed electricians or qualified HVAC and pool service technicians.
The BP/T-25 is suited for residential and light commercial applications where motor-driven equipment is protected by Edison-base fuse panels. Typical applications include swamp coolers, air conditioners, furnace blowers, swimming pool pumps, and deep freezers. It is the appropriate choice for any circuit where motors cycle on and off frequently and nuisance tripping of standard plug fuses is a known issue. The brass-threaded Edison base fits standard residential fuse receptacles.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard Edison-base fuse holders requiring a Type-T time-delay plug fuse. Suitable for motor circuits in residential and light commercial equipment including swamp coolers, air conditioners, furnace blowers, swimming pool pumps, and deep freezers.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified trade technician in accordance with NEC requirements for overcurrent protection. Always disconnect power at the main panel and verify the circuit is de-energized before removing or installing a plug fuse. Confirm the fuse receptacle is rated for the Edison base and that the 25-amp, 125-volt rating matches the circuit requirements. Do not substitute a higher-amperage fuse to address nuisance openings without first diagnosing the underlying fault.
