The EATON BP/NON-50 is a one-time, non-current-limiting cartridge fuse rated at 50 amps and 250 volts. Supplied in a 2-pack, these Class K5 fuses carry a 50,000 ampere interrupting rating (AIR) and feature ferrule ends for standard cartridge fuse holders. They provide fast-acting, no-time-delay overcurrent protection, making them appropriate for lighting branch circuits and main panel protection where large motor loads are absent. UL Listed to Class K5. Electricians and maintenance technicians install these as general-purpose protective devices in residential, commercial, and light industrial distribution systems.
These fuses are designed for non-current-limiting applications including lighting circuits, feeder circuits, and main panel protection that do not involve large electric motor loads. The no-time-delay characteristic means the fuse clears faults quickly without allowing any intentional delay, which suits resistive and lighting load circuits well. The 2-pack format is common for replacement stock in service panels and disconnect enclosures where a spare fuse on hand is standard practice.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard ferrule-type cartridge fuse holders rated for Class K5, 50-amp, 250-volt service in non-current-limiting lighting and feeder circuit applications.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit at the upstream disconnect or breaker before removing or installing any fuse. Verify that the replacement fuse ampere rating, voltage rating, and class match the original equipment specification before installing. Do not install in circuits with large motor loads, as this series is not rated for motor-circuit time-delay duty.
