The EATON BP/MB-20 is a time-delay mini-breaker designed as a permanent replacement for Edison base plug fuses. Rated at 20 amps and 125 volts, it installs directly into a standard Edison base fuse socket and restores circuit protection without the need to stock replacement fuses. A built-in time-delay function prevents nuisance tripping during the high inrush current draw that occurs when motors and appliances start up. Resetting is straightforward: press the button to restore current after a trip. The unit is UL listed for residential and light commercial panelboard applications.
This mini-breaker suits residential fuse panels where Edison base fuses are still in service. It is a common solution in older homes and light commercial buildings that have not been upgraded to a modern breaker panel. Electricians and property maintenance technicians install this device when a fuse holder needs a reliable, resettable protective device in place of a one-time-use fuse. It is appropriate for branch circuits feeding general lighting, receptacle loads, and small appliances within the 20-amp, 125-volt rating.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for most Edison base plug fuses in residential and light commercial fuse panels rated for 125-volt branch circuits.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Always shut off the main panel disconnect or de-energize the fuse block before removing the existing fuse or installing this device. Confirm the panel and circuit voltage rating matches the 125-volt rating of this breaker before installation. Do not install in panels rated above 125 volts or on circuits exceeding 20 amps.
