The EATON BP/MB-15 is a resettable Edison base plug fuse circuit breaker designed for permanent replacement of standard Edison base fuses. Rated at 15 amps and 125 volts, this time-delay mini-breaker installs directly into any Edison base fuse socket without modification. When an overcurrent event occurs, the breaker trips and can be restored instantly by pressing the reset button — no fuse replacement required. The built-in time delay prevents nuisance tripping caused by the high inrush current drawn during motor and appliance start-up cycles. Licensed electricians and qualified service technicians install this device in residential and light commercial panels.
This mini-breaker is suited for residential load centers, older panelboards, and fused disconnect boxes that use Edison base fuse sockets. It is a practical solution in service scenarios where an end user repeatedly blows fuses on a protected circuit, allowing a one-time swap to a resettable device. The time-delay characteristic makes it appropriate for circuits serving refrigerators, window air conditioners, pumps, and other motor-load appliances where locked-rotor inrush would otherwise trip a standard fast-acting fuse.
The BP/MB-15 is designed to replace most standard Edison base plug fuses in residential and light commercial fuse panels and fused disconnects that accept an Edison base socket.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Always shut off power to the panel or disconnect before removing the existing fuse or inserting this device. Verify that the circuit voltage and amperage do not exceed the 15-amp, 125-volt rating of this breaker. Do not install in circuits that have an unresolved overload or fault condition without first identifying and correcting the root cause.
