The EATON BP/KTK-15 is a fast-acting supplemental midget fuse in the Limitron KTK series, designed for overcurrent protection in low-amperage branch and control circuits. Rated at 15 amps and 600 volts maximum, this cartridge fuse features a high-strength melamine tube that delivers a high interrupting rating suited to demanding electrical environments. The compact form factor measures 1.5 inches in length by 0.406 inches in diameter, fitting standard midget fuse blocks. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians install this fuse as supplemental protection in panels, control enclosures, and metering equipment.
The BP/KTK-15 is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial applications where supplemental overcurrent protection is required. Typical circuits include machine control circuits, lighting circuits, and meter circuits. The fast-acting response makes it appropriate for protecting sensitive downstream components where time-delay characteristics would allow excess fault current to pass. The KTK form factor fits Class CC-style midget fuse holders and standard 13/32-inch ferrule fuse blocks widely used in control panel construction.
Designed for use in standard 13/32-inch ferrule midget fuse holders and KTK-rated fuse blocks used in control circuits, lighting circuits, and meter circuits. Use only in fuse holders identified for supplemental fuse applications.
Installation and replacement of branch circuit and supplemental fuses must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing any fuse. Verify the fuse holder is rated for KTK supplemental midget fuses before installing. Do not substitute a higher-amperage fuse to clear a nuisance opening -- investigate and correct the underlying fault condition first.
