The EATON A6760 is a straight needle valve designed for precise flow control in plumbing and fluid-handling systems. Built with a brass body, it connects a 3/8-inch compression inlet to a 1/4-inch male NPT fitting (MNPTF), making it well suited for lines that transition between compression tubing and threaded pipe connections. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure, this valve handles typical service pressures found in residential and light commercial applications. At 1.82 inches overall length, it is a compact fitting that fits in tight installation spaces. Plumbers and HVAC technicians install this type of valve where adjustable shutoff or metered flow control is required.
This needle valve is used in applications where fine flow regulation is needed, such as water supply lines, refrigerant service ports, instrument tubing, or pneumatic control lines. The compression-by-MNPTF end configuration allows direct connection between soft copper or nylon tubing on the compression side and a threaded port on the male NPT side. It is appropriate for both residential service work and light commercial fluid system installations where a compact, brass-body needle valve is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for systems using 3/8-inch compression tubing connections to 1/4-inch male NPT threaded ports, typical in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid control applications rated at or below 150 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Shut off the supply line and relieve system pressure completely before removing or installing any valve. Compression fittings should be hand-tightened and then turned with a wrench per standard practice — do not overtighten, as brass compression seats can deform. Verify that the connected tubing material and system pressure are compatible with this valve before placing the system back in service.
