The EATON 6820 is a straight-pattern needle valve designed for precise flow control in low-pressure fluid and gas piping systems. Built with a brass body, it accepts 1/8 inch FNPTF inlet and MNPTF outlet connections and has an overall length of 1.87 inches. The valve is rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure. Its needle-style stem provides fine throttling adjustment, making it well suited for instrument lines, gauge connections, and other small-bore control applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this valve where repeatable shut-off or metering of flow is required at a compact fitting size.
The EATON 6820 is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration applications where a 1/8 inch pipe connection is needed. Typical installations include gauge isolation, instrument tubing manifolds, and small-diameter branch lines requiring individual flow control. The straight configuration allows direct in-line installation without offset fittings, keeping the assembly compact. The brass body resists corrosion in water and refrigerant service environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or addition for small-bore needle valve applications using 1/8 inch NPT threaded pipe connections in plumbing, HVAC, and instrumentation systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Plumbing Code. Shut off and depressurize the system before removing or installing any valve. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service fluid to the MNPTF threads, and avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the brass body. Verify the valve is fully open or properly set for the desired flow rate before returning the system to service.
