The EATON 3400X2 is a 90-degree street elbow fitting machined from brass, designed for industrial pipe assemblies that require a direction change within a compact space. It features a 1/8-inch male NPTF thread on one end and a 1/8-inch female NPTF thread on the other, allowing it to thread directly into a port or fitting without a separate coupling. The fitting is rated to 1,200 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this type of fitting in hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and fluid-transfer lines where a tight 90-degree turn is needed.
This street elbow is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving compressed air lines, hydraulic circuits, fuel delivery systems, and general-purpose fluid piping. The MNPTF x FNPTF connection classification makes it compatible with standard NPT threaded pipe systems. Its small 1/8-inch thread size is commonly found in instrumentation ports, gauge connections, control valve inlets, and pilot lines where space is limited and a reliable pressure-rated connection is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for standard 1/8-inch NPT threaded pipe systems in industrial, HVAC, plumbing, and hydraulic applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME piping standards. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten brass fittings, as the material is susceptible to thread damage under excessive torque.
