The EATON 3328X4 is a brass long nipple fitting designed for industrial pipe assemblies requiring a reliable threaded connection. It features a 1/4 inch male MNPTF (Dryseal) thread on both ends and delivers a maximum working pressure of 1200 psi. The 2 inch overall length provides the extended reach needed to bridge closely spaced fittings, manifolds, or pipe runs in compressed air, hydraulic, and fluid-distribution systems. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical installers of this type of fitting.
This long nipple is suited for use in both commercial and industrial piping systems where a compact, high-pressure brass connection is required. Typical applications include compressed air headers, hydraulic lines, instrumentation taps, and general fluid-handling assemblies operating within the rated temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Its brass construction makes it a common choice in non-corrosive fluid service where dezincification resistance and machinability are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install component for 1/4 inch MNPTF pipe systems in industrial, commercial, and light mechanical applications requiring a brass long nipple fitting.
Installation of pipe nipples should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. MNPTF Dryseal threads are designed to form a pressure-tight joint through thread interference; inspect threads for damage before assembly and apply thread sealant per system fluid compatibility if required. Do not over-torque brass fittings, as the material is susceptible to cracking under excessive force.
