The EATON 3325X4 is a hex plug pipe fitting designed to cap or close off fluid or pneumatic lines in industrial piping systems. It uses a 1/4 inch male MNPTF (Dryseal National Pipe Taper Fuel) thread connection and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 1200 psi. The hex drive design allows installation and removal with standard open-end or box wrenches. With a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting handles a wide range of service conditions. It meets SAE 130137 standards and is suited for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid power applications where a secure, leak-resistant seal is required.
This hex plug is used in industrial piping and fluid power systems where a threaded port needs to be blocked or sealed. Typical applications include hydraulic manifolds, pneumatic control panels, and fluid handling assemblies. The MNPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight seal on the thread flanks without relying solely on thread compound, making it appropriate for fuel, oil, water, and air service. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic technicians install this type of fitting in both commercial and industrial environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for industrial pipe systems using 1/4 inch MNPTF threaded ports rated to 1200 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before installing or removing any pipe fittings. Use an appropriately sized wrench on the hex to avoid rounding; do not use pliers directly on the hex body. Thread sealant or tape application should follow system requirements and applicable codes such as IFGC or IPC for gas and water service.
