The EATON 3325X2 is a hex plug fitting designed to seal and cap pipe and tube ends in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid power systems. It uses a 1/8 inch MNPTF (male national pipe thread fuel) connection and is rated to 1,200 psi maximum working pressure. The fitting measures 1 inch in overall length with a 7/16 inch hex drive, and weighs approximately 0.03 pounds. Plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians install this type of plug to terminate unused ports, isolate circuit branches, or seal test points during service and commissioning.
The 3325X2 is suited for industrial pipe assemblies in residential and commercial applications where a compact, threaded end cap is needed. Typical use cases include sealing unused ports on manifolds, valves, and hydraulic components. The MNPTF thread standard conforms to SAE 130137, making it appropriate for fluid power and hydraulic circuit work requiring a leak-free, pressure-rated closure. Its operating temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F covers most standard industrial and mechanical room environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement hex plug for industrial pipe and fluid power systems using 1/8 inch MNPTF female ports rated to 1,200 psi or less.
Installation is performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or hydraulic technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any pipe plug. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the fluid type and pressure rating per manufacturer and applicable code requirements. Do not overtighten — use a calibrated torque wrench and follow applicable fluid power assembly standards to avoid thread damage.
