The EATON 3220X8X2 is a straight brass pipe bushing designed to reduce a 1/2 inch male NPT fitting down to a 1/8 inch female NPT port. It uses MNPTF x FNPTF threaded connections, making it a reliable choice for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-system piping applications. Rated to 1,200 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this bushing is built for demanding service environments. Plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians install this fitting when adapting between two different pipe thread sizes in a straight-line configuration.
This bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydraulic lines, pneumatic systems, and general fluid-transfer piping where a 1/2 inch male thread must connect to a 1/8 inch female threaded port. The brass construction provides corrosion resistance in water, oil, and air service. Its compact straight profile allows installation in tight spaces where larger fittings would not fit. The 7/8 inch hex and 3/4 inch overall length keep the assembly footprint small while still providing adequate wrench engagement.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement bushing for piping systems using standard MNPTF x FNPTF threaded connections in hydraulic, pneumatic, and general fluid-transfer applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC and ASME piping codes. De-pressurize and isolate the system before installing or removing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads prior to assembly. Do not over-torque brass fittings, as the material is softer than steel and susceptible to thread damage.
