The EATON 2041-1-8-8S is a steel flared tube bulkhead union designed to pass a hydraulic or fluid line through a panel, bulkhead, or enclosure wall while maintaining a sealed, pressure-rated connection on both sides. It uses a 37-degree flare seating angle on both ends and threads to SAE standard at 3/4-16, accepting 0.5-inch OD tubing. Rated to 4000 psi maximum working pressure and built to handle temperatures from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting is suited for demanding hydraulic and pneumatic plumbing applications where panel-mount routing is required. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and fluid-power mechanics working with flared-tube systems are the typical installers.
This bulkhead union is used wherever a fluid or hydraulic line must pass cleanly through a structural panel or enclosure wall in residential, commercial, or industrial installations. It is appropriate for hydraulic power units, refrigeration and HVAC line sets routed through equipment panels, and industrial fluid-power circuits that require a secure panel-mount fitting. The flare-by-flare end configuration allows connection to standard 37-degree flared tubing on both the inlet and outlet sides of the panel. Both ends accept 0.5-inch OD tubing without adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration plumbing circuits that use 0.5-inch OD tubing with 37-degree flared ends and 3/4-16 SAE threads at panel bulkhead locations.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or fluid-power mechanic. Depressurize and isolate the fluid circuit completely before removing or installing any fittings. Thread the bulkhead union through the panel opening and secure the locknut to the panel face before making flared-tube connections on each side. Do not overtighten flare connections; snug to manufacturer torque guidelines using a properly calibrated torque wrench appropriate for SAE flare fittings.
