The EATON 2024-8-10S is a 90-degree male elbow fitting designed for flared tube connections in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-transfer applications. It features a 5/8 inch tube OD flare inlet and a 1/2 inch MNPT outlet, with a standard 37-degree flare angle conforming to SAE 070202. Constructed from steel, this fitting delivers reliable mechanical strength across a wide operating temperature range of -65 degrees F to 400 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and fluid-system technicians install this fitting where a directional change from tube to threaded pipe is required in a compact run.
This elbow is suited for residential and commercial fluid-system installations where a 90-degree directional change is needed between a flared steel tube and an NPT-threaded port or pipe. Typical applications include HVAC refrigerant lines, hydraulic equipment plumbing, and industrial fluid conveyance systems. The Flare x MNPT end configuration allows direct connection between a flared tube assembly and a standard NPT-threaded fitting, valve, or manifold. With an overall length of 1.714 inches and an inside diameter of 0.866 inches, the fitting is compact enough for tight-space installations.

Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or HVAC technician familiar with flared tube fittings and NPT thread connections. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the MNPT threads per the fluid-system requirements and applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Do not over-tighten the flare connection, as over-torquing can damage the flare seat and cause leaks.
