Use the 1-1/8 inch hex and a calibrated torque wrench to seat the tapered pipe thread properly — follow EATON assembly guidelines and applicable industry standards for MPT thread engagement. Avoid cross-threading and do not overtighten, as tapered pipe threads are susceptible to fitting damage with excessive torque.
