The EATON 10Z-108-BG is a male pipe rigid fitting designed for use with hydraulic hose assemblies in industrial and mobile hydraulic systems. This straight, threaded fitting is constructed from steel and uses an NPT thread interface sized at 1/2-14. It accommodates hose with an inside diameter of 0.63 inches and an outside diameter of 0.50 inches, corresponding to a 5/8-inch nominal hose diameter (Size 10). At 0.35 pounds, the fitting is compact and suited for high-demand hydraulic plumbing applications. Fluid power technicians and hydraulic system mechanics are the primary installers of this type of component.
This fitting is intended for use in hydraulic systems where a rigid male pipe connection is required at the hose termination point. It is applicable in both mobile and stationary hydraulic equipment contexts. The NPT thread form and straight body shape make it a standard choice for manifold ports, valve bodies, and cylinder connections. Per the supplier specifications, it is compatible with a range of EATON hose series including EC110, EC115, EC118, EC210, EC215, H0105, H0106, H104, H115, H116, H145, H145R, H1571, H1776, H1777, H1812, H190, H190H, and H1981, among others, with size qualifiers as noted in the compatibility section.
Compatible with the following EATON hose series (with applicable size ranges as specified): EC110, EC115, EC118, EC210, EC215, H0105 (-06 thru -12, -20), H0106 (-04 thru -10), H104, H115 (-04 thru -20), H116 (-04, -06, -08), H145, H145R, H1571 (-12 only), H1776 (-04 thru -20), H1777 (-04, -06, -08), H1812 (-04 thru -20), H190, H190H, and H1981 (-04).
Installation should be performed by a qualified fluid power technician or hydraulic system mechanic. Depressurize and bleed down the hydraulic system fully before disconnecting or installing any fittings. Use a calibrated torque wrench and apply thread sealant compatible with the system fluid when making NPT connections. Do not overtighten NPT fittings, as tapered threads can crack ports or fittings if excessive force is applied.
