The EATON 1068X4X4 is a barbed tube male connector designed for secure, leak-resistant tubing connections in fluid and pneumatic systems. It features a 1/4-inch NPTF male thread on one end and a barbed fitting on the other, sized for tubing with a 0.12-inch inside diameter and a 1/4-inch outside diameter. Constructed from brass, it offers solid corrosion resistance and durability in both liquid and low-pressure air applications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid system specialists install this type of fitting where a rigid-to-flexible tubing transition is required.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC drain and condensate lines, refrigeration tubing assemblies, and general fluid transfer systems that use flexible tubing in the applicable ID and OD range. Its NPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal when properly installed, making it appropriate for systems where thread sealant or PTFE tape is used on male threads. The compact form factor fits into tight equipment compartments common in packaged HVAC units and appliance installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for systems using 1/4-inch OD flexible tubing with a 0.12-inch inside diameter and 1/4-inch NPTF male threaded ports.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Shut off system pressure and drain any fluid before removing existing fittings. Apply PTFE tape or an appropriate thread sealant to the NPTF male threads before assembly. Secure the barbed end with an appropriate clamp for the tubing type to ensure a leak-free connection; do not overtighten the threaded end, as brass fittings can crack under excessive torque.
