The EATON 08Z-A68-BG is a female ORS swivel long drop 90-degree elbow hydraulic hose fitting designed for use in high-pressure hydraulic systems. Manufactured from steel, this SAE J1176-compliant fitting accepts a 0.5 inch (8 mm) hose outside diameter and uses a 13/16-16 threaded connection. The long drop 90-degree elbow geometry helps route hoses cleanly in tight engine compartments and mobile equipment installations where straight fittings would create interference. The FOR-SEAL shaft type provides a reliable seal interface. This fitting is installed by hydraulic system technicians and mobile equipment mechanics working on industrial and agricultural machinery.
This fitting is suited for mobile hydraulic applications where hose routing requires a 90-degree change of direction with additional drop clearance. The threaded ORS swivel design allows the hose end to rotate during assembly, reducing hose twist and installation stress. With an overall length of 2.87 inches and a 15/16-inch hex, it fits standard assembly tooling. EATON lists this fitting for use with specific hose series including EC110, EC115, EC118, EC210, EC215, H0105, H0106, H104, H115, H116, H145, H145R, H1571, H1776, H1777, H1812, H190, H190H, and H1981, among others per manufacturer documentation.
Per EATON specifications, this fitting is designed for use with the following hose series: EC110, EC115, EC118, EC210, EC215, H0105 (-06 thru -12, -20), H0106 (-04 thru -10), H104, H115 (-04 thru -20), H116 (-04, -06, -08), H145, H145R, H1571 (-12 only), H1776 (-04 thru -20), H1777 (-04, -06, -08), H1812 (-04 thru -20), H190, H190H, and H1981 (-04). Verify hose series and dash size compatibility against current EATON documentation before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician. Fully depressurize and bleed down the hydraulic system before removing any fittings or hoses. Inspect the ORS sealing surface and threads for damage before assembly, and apply appropriate thread sealant or verify the O-ring seal is seated correctly per SAE J1176 guidelines. Do not over-torque; use a backup wrench on the fitting body to prevent component damage during final tightening.
