The EATON 08Z-106-BG is a male pipe rigid fitting designed for hydraulic hose assemblies. It provides a fixed, non-swivel connection between a hydraulic hose and a threaded port. The fitting threads directly into an NPTF port, creating a pressure-tight seal without the need for additional thread sealant. Constructed from steel, it is suited for high-pressure hydraulic systems found in industrial, mobile, and construction equipment. The 3/8-18 NPTF thread and 8 mm hose size make it a direct-connect component for properly sized hydraulic lines. Installation is typically performed by hydraulic system technicians or millwrights during hose assembly fabrication or field replacement work.
This fitting is used in hydraulic hose assemblies where a rigid, permanent connection to an NPTF-threaded port is required. Common applications include mobile hydraulic equipment, industrial machinery, and construction vehicles where hose assemblies must maintain fixed orientation under pressure. The 3/8-inch hose diameter and standard NPTF thread pattern make it compatible with a wide range of hydraulic circuits that operate at pressures typical of steel-body rigid fittings. The 13/16-inch hex allows for standard wrench torquing during installation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement rigid fitting for hydraulic hose assemblies using 8 mm hose with a 3/8-18 NPTF threaded port connection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and bleed the hydraulic system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Use a calibrated torque wrench and apply torque to the hex flats only — never torque from the hose end or body. Inspect the NPTF port threads for damage or contamination before assembly; NPTF threads rely on thread-form interference for sealing and must be clean and undamaged to seal properly.
