The EATON 08E-610 is a female swivel fitting designed for use with hydraulic hose assemblies in high-pressure fluid power systems. Built from steel with a straight configuration and SAE-standard threaded connection, this Series E fitting attaches to 1/2 inch (10 mm) hose and uses a 7/8-14 thread size. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 3,800 psi, making it suitable for demanding hydraulic circuits in industrial and mobile equipment applications. The swivel design allows the hose to rotate freely at the connection point, reducing torsional stress on the hose during installation and operation. Licensed hydraulic technicians and fluid power specialists are the typical installers.
This fitting is intended for use in hydraulic systems where 1/2 inch hose assemblies are routed to pumps, cylinders, valves, or manifolds. The straight body geometry suits inline connections where space allows a direct run. With a 7/8 inch hex size, it accommodates standard open-end or crow-foot wrenches. The SAE threaded interface is common in mobile hydraulic equipment including agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and industrial power units. The steel construction handles the thermal and pressure cycling typical in these environments.
Designed for use with EATON hose series H009, H209, H243, H265, H275, H277, H285, H435, and H436. Fits hose with a 0.5 inch inside diameter and 0.625 inch outside diameter.
Hydraulic fittings should be installed by qualified fluid power technicians familiar with SAE fitting standards and applicable system pressure ratings. Always depressurize and de-energize the hydraulic system completely before disconnecting or installing any fitting. Torque the fitting using the correct wrench on the hex flats only — do not use the hose or swivel body to apply torque. Inspect the thread engagement and sealing surfaces for damage before assembly, and verify system pressure does not exceed the fitting's rated maximum working pressure after installation.
