The EATON 06Z-104-BG is a male pipe rigid fitting designed to connect hydraulic hoses to threaded ports in fluid power systems. Built from steel with a straight shape, it accepts a 3/8 inch hose inside diameter and features a 1/4-18 NPT threaded connection. The 11/16 inch hex size allows for standard wrench installation. Weighing 0.16 pounds, this compact fitting meets SAE J1176 standards and is part of the EATON Z Series. It is sold individually and is a direct-fit solution for hydraulic assembly, maintenance, and repair work performed by hydraulic technicians and industrial service professionals.
This fitting is suited for use in hydraulic hose assemblies where a rigid, leak-resistant male pipe connection is required. It is appropriate for both light industrial and mobile hydraulic applications. The NPT thread form provides a tapered seal commonly specified in North American fluid power systems. Compatible hose series confirmed by the manufacturer include EC110, EC115, EC118, EC210, EC215, H0105, H0106, H104, H115, H116, H145, H145R, H1571, H1776, H1777, H1812, H190, H190H, and H1981, among others, with specific dash sizes as noted in EATON documentation.
Confirmed compatible hose series include EC110, EC115, EC118, EC210, EC215, H0105 (-06 thru -12, -20), H0106 (-04 thru -10), H104, H115 (-04 thru -20), H116 (-04, -06, -08), H145, H145R, H1571 (-12 only), H1776 (-04 thru -20), H1777 (-04, -06, -08), H1812 (-04 thru -20), H190, H190H, and H1981 (-04) as specified by EATON.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician familiar with fluid power assembly practices. Depressurize and fully isolate the hydraulic system before removing or installing any fittings. Apply thread sealant per system requirements and torque to the fitting manufacturer's specified value using an appropriately sized wrench on the hex flat — never use the hose or ferrule as a torque surface. Verify the connection is leak-free before returning the system to service.
