The EASTMAN CASH-14737-0150 is a pressure-only relief valve engineered to protect hot water supply systems from over-pressure conditions caused by thermal expansion. At a factory-set relief pressure of 150 psi, the valve opens automatically to discharge excess pressure and reseats once normal operating pressure is restored. The body is bronze, with brass and stainless steel internal components, a silicone seat disc, and a stainless steel pressure spring. The 3/4 inch connection fits either male or female threaded ports, making it adaptable to a range of installation configurations. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this valve as a safety component in residential and light commercial water heating systems.
This valve is designed for hot water supply systems where thermal expansion creates periodic over-pressure events. It can be mounted directly on the water heater tank or installed in a tee fitting, and is rated for use on either the hot or cold side of the heater. The compact body size suits tight equipment rooms and utility closets where space around the water heater is limited. Factory relief settings for 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch sizes are available at 75, 125, or 150 psi, allowing selection to match the system pressure rating.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation pressure relief valve for residential and light commercial hot water supply systems requiring a 3/4 inch, 150 psi pressure-only relief valve.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any relief valve. Do not plug, cap, or obstruct the discharge outlet — a properly rated discharge line must be connected per code. Verify that the valve pressure setting does not exceed the working pressure rating of the tank or connected piping.
