The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL TSE500-SP3-I is a No. 3 spiral screw extractor designed to remove broken, stripped, or seized fasteners from metal, wood, and composite materials. The spiral flute design bites into damaged fastener heads as rotational force is applied, backing the fastener out without damaging the surrounding material. This tool is a standard item in the toolbox of HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and general contractors who routinely work with corroded or over-torqued hardware in tight spaces and field conditions.
The TSE500-SP3-I fits the No. 3 size range, making it suitable for extracting mid-size screws and bolts commonly found in equipment panels, pipe fittings, junction boxes, and mechanical assemblies. It is used wherever a fastener has been rounded off, snapped flush, or driven beyond usable drive-head condition and must be removed before reassembly or replacement of a component can proceed.
Designed as a general-purpose No. 3 spiral screw extractor suitable for use with standard drill chucks and T-handle wrenches across a wide range of fastener extraction applications.
Screw extractors are installed by licensed tradespeople and experienced technicians using a reversible drill or T-handle wrench. Before extraction, use a center punch to create a starting point, then drill a pilot hole into the damaged fastener using the manufacturer-recommended pilot drill size for a No. 3 extractor. Set the drill or wrench to reverse rotation before engaging the extractor. Exercise controlled, steady pressure to avoid snapping the extractor in the fastener bore.
