The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL TSE500-S3-I is a Size 3 straight flute screw extractor designed to remove broken, stripped, or seized fasteners from metal and other materials. Straight flute extractors work by gripping the interior of a damaged fastener when driven counterclockwise, allowing the fastener to back out cleanly. This tool is sized for mid-range fastener diameters and is a standard piece of equipment in trade toolkits for plumbers, HVAC technicians, electricians, and general maintenance professionals who encounter broken fasteners during service work.
The TSE500-S3-I is suited for use in residential and commercial service environments wherever a broken or damaged screw or bolt needs to be removed without damaging the surrounding material. Straight flute extractors are typically used in conjunction with a left-hand drill bit to create the pilot hole before extraction. This extractor is appropriate for use in hand drill chucks, tap wrenches, or T-handle holders depending on the application and available access.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for Size 3 straight screw extractors used in standard fastener removal applications across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical service work.
Installation is performed by a qualified technician or experienced tradesperson using appropriate hand tools. Before extraction, use a left-hand drill bit to create a pilot hole centered in the broken fastener. Insert the extractor into the pilot hole and turn counterclockwise with a tap wrench or T-handle to engage and remove the fastener. Apply steady, controlled pressure to avoid snapping the extractor inside the workpiece.
