The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL LHJ100-004-I is a left-hand high-speed steel (HSS) jobber-length drill bit sized at 1/16 inch. Left-hand drill bits rotate counterclockwise, making them the preferred tool for extracting damaged, stripped, or broken fasteners without a separate extractor in many applications. The HSS construction provides the hardness needed to cut through mild steel, aluminum, wood, and similar materials at standard drilling speeds. This bit is suited for machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals who regularly deal with fastener removal or reverse-drilling operations.
This drill bit is used wherever a standard right-hand bit is not appropriate — most commonly when removing broken bolts, seized screws, or damaged fasteners in equipment, HVAC hardware, electrical enclosures, plumbing fixtures, and general fabrication. The 1/16 inch diameter targets small-fastener applications. Its jobber-length flute design offers the balance of reach and rigidity suited for bench drill presses, hand drills, and drill-press fixtures used in shop and field environments.
Designed as a standard jobber-length left-hand drill bit compatible with any chuck or collet system accepting a 1/16 inch straight shank, including hand drills, drill presses, and CNC drilling fixtures.
Left-hand drill bits must be installed in a drill or press set to reverse (counterclockwise) rotation to cut properly. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling to prevent movement. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling metal to extend bit life and improve cut quality. Wear appropriate eye protection per standard shop safety practices.
