The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL H200-032-D is a heavy-duty high-speed steel (HSS) jobber-length drill bit with a 1/2 inch diameter and a 135-degree split point. The 135-degree split point geometry reduces walking on contact, allowing the bit to start cutting immediately without a center punch on most materials. Manufactured in the USA, this bit is built for repeated use in demanding shop and field conditions. Electricians, pipefitters, ironworkers, and general contractors reach for jobber-length HSS bits when drilling through steel, iron, aluminum, and hard plastics where consistent hole quality and bit life matter.
This drill bit is suited for use in stationary drill presses, magnetic base drills, and heavy-duty hand drills. Typical applications include structural steel fabrication, mechanical contracting, maintenance and repair operations, and electrical rough-in work requiring clean, accurately sized holes. The heavy-duty construction makes it appropriate for production drilling environments where standard jobber bits wear prematurely. It is also a practical choice for HVAC installers drilling through metal equipment panels, brackets, and ductwork supports.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-stock jobber drill bit compatible with any 1/2 inch or larger keyed or keyless chuck on drill presses, magnetic base drills, and heavy-duty hand drills.
A licensed machinist, journeyman tradesperson, or experienced technician should select the appropriate drill speed (RPM) based on material type and bit diameter before use. Secure the workpiece fully before drilling to prevent rotation or movement. Use cutting fluid when drilling ferrous metals to extend bit life and maintain hole quality. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and recondition or replace the bit if chipping or dulling is observed.
