The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL CHD-13750-8-I is a carbon hex rethread die sized for 1-3/8 inch diameter threads at 8 threads per inch (TPI). Hex rethread dies are used to restore damaged, corroded, or partially stripped external threads on bolts, rods, and pipe fittings without requiring full thread cutting from scratch. The hex body allows a standard wrench or die stock to drive the tool. At 1.96 pounds, it is a solid, hand-tool-weight die suited for shop or field use by plumbers, pipefitters, and general trade mechanics working with larger-diameter fasteners and fittings.
This die is intended for rethread and cleanup work on 1-3/8 inch coarse-thread fasteners and threaded rod stock. It is well suited for maintenance and repair scenarios where existing threads have been damaged by corrosion, cross-threading, or mechanical impact. The import-grade carbon steel construction makes it appropriate for periodic rethread tasks on steel and softer metal fasteners in commercial plumbing, mechanical, and general industrial applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-service hex rethread die for 1-3/8 inch - 8 TPI external thread applications on bolts, threaded rod, and fittings.
This tool is used by plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical tradespeople performing thread restoration. Before use, inspect the damaged threads and clear away debris or rust scale. Apply cutting oil to the die and the workpiece to reduce friction and extend tool life. Drive the hex die slowly and evenly with a wrench or die stock, backing off periodically to clear chips, following standard threading practices.
