The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL CDW-12500-5/8-11 is a wet core drill bit designed for cutting precise circular holes through masonry, concrete, block, and similar hard construction materials. The 5/8-11 threaded arbor is the standard mount used on most wet core drill rigs and angle-drive units common to the trade. At 1-1/4 inches in diameter, this bit produces clean-bore penetrations sized for conduit, pipe, and anchor sleeve pass-throughs. Wet core drilling requires a continuous water feed to cool the diamond segment matrix and flush cuttings, extending bit life and improving cut quality. Plumbers, electricians, and concrete specialty contractors are the primary users of this type of tooling.
This bit is well suited for residential and light commercial core drilling applications where 1-1/4-inch penetrations are required through poured concrete slabs, CMU block walls, brick, and cured mortar. Common install scenarios include routing electrical conduit through foundation walls, sleeving copper or PEX supply lines through concrete, and placing anchor inserts. The 5/8-11 thread mount makes it directly compatible with standard hand-held core drill motors and drill press rigs without an adapter in most cases.
Designed as a direct-mount wet core drill bit for tools accepting the 5/8-11 threaded arbor standard, which is the most common spindle thread on contractor-grade core drill motors.
Core drilling should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with wet drilling procedures and the substrate being penetrated. Always verify the drilling path is clear of embedded rebar, conduit, post-tension cable, and utilities before starting. Connect a water supply to the core drill motor or use a water swivel to maintain continuous flow to the bit during the cut. Follow applicable codes, including IPC and NEC requirements, when locating penetrations through fire-rated or structural assemblies.
