The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL CB-SG-2-D is a tree-shaped carbide burr designed for aggressive material removal and finishing work on metals, plastics, and composites. Built in the SG-2 profile with a 5/16-inch shank, this burr is suited for use with die grinders, rotary tools, and flexible shaft machines. The tree shape allows access to contoured surfaces, slots, and recesses where flat or cylindrical tools cannot reach. Single cut and double cut geometry provide versatility across roughing and finishing passes. Metalworkers, welders, pipefitters, and machinists reach for this style of burr when shaping, deburring, or blending weld seams in confined areas.
This burr fits typical applications in fabrication shops, maintenance and repair environments, and production machining. The tree profile is commonly used on port work, mold and die finishing, and general material removal on curved or irregular surfaces. At 0.13 pounds, it is lightweight and easy to handle during extended use. It is appropriate for both ferrous and non-ferrous materials depending on the cut geometry selected.
Designed as a standard-shank carbide burr for use with die grinders, rotary tools, and flexible shaft machines accepting a 5/16-inch collet.
Carbide burrs are installed and removed by a licensed machinist or qualified tradesperson using the appropriate collet wrench for the tool being used. Always power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before changing burrs. Inspect the burr for cracks or chips before each use and do not operate above the maximum RPM rating of the tool. Wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when operating rotary cutting tools.
