The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL CB-SD-2-D is a ball-shaped carbide rotary burr available in both single cut and double cut configurations at 5/16 inch diameter. Carbide burrs of this type are used for material removal, shaping, and deburring on metals, plastics, and composite materials. The ball shape allows access to contoured surfaces, recesses, and inside radii that flat or cylindrical tools cannot easily reach. Tradespeople and fabricators mount these burrs in die grinders, rotary tools, or flexible shaft machines for precision grinding and finishing work. At 0.13 pounds, the CB-SD-2-D is lightweight and easy to handle during extended use.
This carbide burr is suited for metalworking, pipefitting, and fabrication applications where controlled material removal is required. It is commonly used by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters for deburring pipe ends, smoothing welds, and enlarging or cleaning port openings. The ball profile makes it especially useful for working inside curved or concave surfaces. Both single cut and double cut options support varying needs for chip clearance and finish quality.
Designed for use with standard die grinders, rotary tools, and flexible shaft machines that accept carbide rotary burr shanks of the appropriate diameter.
This burr is installed and removed by a qualified tradesperson using the collet and wrench system of the host rotary tool or die grinder. Always power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before changing burrs. Secure the shank fully in the collet before operation and confirm the tool RPM rating is appropriate for the burr diameter. Eye protection and appropriate PPE should be worn during use.
