The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL CB-SD-1-D is a ball-shape double cut carbide burr designed for aggressive material removal and contour finishing in metal fabrication, welding prep, and industrial maintenance work. Double cut fluting produces a crosshatch pattern that shears material in two directions simultaneously, delivering faster stock removal and a smoother surface finish compared to single cut burrs. The 1/4-inch shank fits standard die grinders and rotary tools commonly used by machinists, pipefitters, welders, and maintenance technicians. At 0.13 pounds, the tool is lightweight and well-suited for extended overhead or confined-space work.
This burr is used in ferrous and non-ferrous metalworking applications including weld bead blending, port and cavity work, deburring, and surface preparation on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. Its ball geometry allows access to concave surfaces, internal radii, and contoured profiles that flat or cylindrical burrs cannot reach. Typical install scenarios include job-shop machining, field pipe work, and fabrication shops where a die grinder is the primary tool.
Designed as a standard replacement or add-on burr for use with 1/4-inch collet die grinders and rotary tools across industrial, fabrication, and maintenance applications.
Install and remove the burr only when the die grinder is fully powered down and disconnected from the air supply or electrical source. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet nut is properly tightened before operation. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow shop safety protocols when operating rotary cutting tools. Do not exceed the RPM rating of the tool or the burr.
