The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL CB-SC-5-L6-D is a single-cut cylindrical end cut carbide burr designed for material removal, deburring, shaping, and finishing in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built on a standard rotary file profile, this burr features a 1/2 inch cut diameter and a 6 inch overall length (OAL), making it well suited for reaching into deeper cavities or working in confined areas where a shorter shank would not reach. The double-cut designation indicates a cross-hatch flute pattern that produces faster stock removal with a smoother surface finish compared to single-cut geometry. Weighing 0.12 pounds, it is light enough for extended handheld use in a pneumatic or electric die grinder.
This cylindrical end cut burr is used across a range of trades and fabrication environments including HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing pipe preparation, welding prep and cleanup, and general maintenance machining. The end cut geometry allows the tool to work on flat surfaces, slots, and blind holes in addition to side-wall material removal. It is appropriate for use on ferrous metals, cast iron, steel, and similar hard materials in both shop and field settings.
Designed as a standard-shank rotary carbide burr for use with pneumatic die grinders, electric die grinders, and flex-shaft tools accepting the appropriate collet size.
This burr is installed and operated by machinists, fabricators, and trade technicians using die grinders. Confirm the grinder collet size matches the burr shank diameter before use, and ensure the tool is fully seated and secured before starting the grinder. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece before operating. Do not exceed the maximum RPM rating of the die grinder or apply lateral side-load force beyond what the tool geometry is designed to handle.
