The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL 1090D-112-I is a 1-3/16 inch diameter annular cutter with a 1/2 inch shank, designed for use in magnetic drill presses and similar rotary cutting applications. Annular cutters remove only the material at the perimeter of the hole, leaving a solid core slug rather than drilling through the full cross-section. This geometry reduces cutting force, improves chip evacuation, and produces cleaner, burr-reduced holes in steel and other ferrous materials. The 1/2 inch shank provides broad compatibility with standard magnetic drill arbors and bench-mounted drill press chucks. This tool is specified and installed by machinists, fabricators, ironworkers, and maintenance mechanics performing structural steel and plate work.
The 1090D-112-I is suited for use in portable magnetic drill presses on structural steel, as well as bench drill presses and milling setups where a 1/2 inch shank arbor is in use. Typical applications include fabrication shops, steel erection, equipment maintenance, and general metalworking where full-diameter twist drills would be impractical or slow. The import-grade construction makes this cutter a practical choice for production runs and high-wear environments where frequent cutter rotation or replacement is expected.
Designed for use with magnetic drill presses and drill press setups accepting a 1/2 inch round shank annular cutter. Confirm arbor shank size and pilot pin configuration before installation.
Installation is performed by machinists, fabricators, or ironworkers familiar with magnetic drill press or bench drill press operation. Secure the cutter in the arbor chuck and verify the set screws are fully engaged on the shank flats before use. Always use cutting fluid or coolant appropriate for the workpiece material to extend cutter life and reduce heat. Disconnect or de-energize the drill press and allow the cutter to come to a complete stop before changing tooling.
