The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL 1090-110-I is a high-speed steel (HSS) slow-spiral (SD) drill bit with a 1-5/32 inch cutting diameter and a 1/2 inch reduced shank. Slow-spiral geometry produces fewer, wider flutes that evacuate chips efficiently when drilling in soft metals, wood, and plastics. The 1/2 inch shank makes it compatible with standard drill chucks and magnetic drill press setups commonly found on job sites. It is suited for machinists, fabricators, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals who need an import-grade general-purpose drill bit for production or field drilling.
This bit is intended for use in drill presses, magnetic base drills, and heavy-duty hand drills with 1/2 inch or larger chuck capacity. The large 1-5/32 inch diameter is common in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical rough-in work where oversize holes are required through structural members, sheet metal framing, or equipment enclosures. It is also used in metal fabrication shops for boring clearance holes and access ports.
Designed for use in drill presses and hand drills equipped with a 1/2 inch or larger chuck. Suitable for drilling soft metals, wood, and plastics in general trade and fabrication applications.
Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and confirm the chuck key is removed before starting the drill. When drilling metal, use a center punch to prevent walking and apply a suitable cutting fluid to extend bit life. Operators should wear appropriate eye protection per OSHA standards. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and retire the bit if chipping or excessive wear is observed.
