The DYNABRADE EB3 is a pneumatic handheld buffer and polisher designed for detail polishing, surface finishing, and light material removal. It operates on compressed air at 90 psi with an air consumption of 4 SCFM, making it compatible with standard shop compressor setups. The spindle threads at 3/8-24 to accept a 3-inch buffing or polishing pad. The tool measures 11.25 inches in overall length and weighs 1.6 pounds, putting it in a compact, lightweight class suited for extended use in body shop, maintenance, and finishing applications. A thermoplastic rubber grip reduces fatigue during repetitive passes. Licensed tradespeople and finishing technicians are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
The EB3 is well suited for automotive body finishing, light industrial surface prep, and detail work where a small-diameter pad offers controlled polishing in tight areas or on curved panels. Its rear exhaust directs spent air away from the work surface, keeping debris and moisture clear of the finish. The compact tool design allows access to contoured and recessed surfaces where larger random-orbital or dual-action tools cannot reach. It is appropriate for both shop and field use wherever a regulated compressed air supply is available.
Designed for use with standard 3-inch buffing pads and backing plates with a 3/8-24 spindle thread. Requires a regulated compressed air supply delivering 90 psi and at least 4 SCFM at the tool inlet via a standard NPT air fitting.
This tool is typically put into service by body shop technicians, industrial finishers, or maintenance professionals working with compressed air systems. Before attaching or changing pads, disconnect the air supply line from the tool inlet to prevent accidental actuation. Verify the shop air supply is regulated to 90 psi and that the supply line is sized to deliver adequate SCFM without pressure drop. Use thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for pneumatic fittings when connecting the NPT air inlet to the supply line.
