The DYNABRADE DGS51 is a straight air die grinder designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing in industrial and trade environments. It runs at 20,000 RPM with a 0.5 hp air motor, requires 3.5 CFM at 90 psi, and accepts a 1/4 inch collet. The lever throttle with safety-lock provides controlled operation, and the rotational rear exhaust directs airflow away from the work surface. At 1.35 pounds, it is light enough for extended overhead or confined-space use. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, metal fabricators, and maintenance mechanics are the primary users of this tool.
The DGS51 fits general industrial maintenance, metal fabrication shops, automotive bodywork, and aerospace component finishing where a compact, straight-body pneumatic grinder is required. The 1/4 inch collet accommodates standard die grinder bits, carbide burrs, mounted points, and cut-off wheels sized for that shank. Its straight profile suits inline access to bores, ports, and weld seams where angle grinders cannot reach.
Designed as a direct-use pneumatic die grinder compatible with standard 1/4 inch shank rotary accessories including carbide burrs, mounted abrasive points, and grinding wheels rated for speeds at or above 20,000 RPM.
A licensed or qualified pneumatic tool technician should connect the DGS51 to a compressed air supply regulated to 90 psi with a properly sized inline filter-regulator-lubricator unit. Verify the air line is depressurized before attaching or removing the collet or any accessory. Confirm all mounted accessories are rated for a minimum of 20,000 RPM before operation. Follow applicable OSHA and ANSI B186.1 safe-use guidelines for pneumatic die grinders.
