The DYNABRADE 91167 is a coated abrasive belt designed for precision sanding and finishing work on narrow-contact belt sanders and file belt tools. Measuring 1/2 inch wide by 13 inches long, this belt uses aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded to an X-weight cloth backing at 120 grit, placing it in the fine grade range. The cloth backing provides flexibility and durability under the heat and tension typical of continuous belt operation. Sold individually, it is a direct replacement consumable suited for metalworking, woodworking, and composite finishing applications. Licensed trades and production shops running narrow-profile pneumatic or electric file sanders will find this belt a standard-stock consumable.
This belt is suited for deburring, blending, and finishing passes on contoured surfaces, welds, and tight-radius workpieces where wider belts cannot reach. The 1/2-inch width targets file belt sanders and pencil-style belt units common in fabrication, pipe fitting, and tool-and-die environments. Wet or dry operation is supported, making it usable with light cutting fluids or dry. The 120 grit aluminum oxide grain is well-matched to finishing steel, aluminum, and wood surfaces where scratch pattern control matters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement abrasive belt for narrow file belt sanders and pencil-style belt grinders requiring a 1/2 inch x 13 inch belt size.
Belt sander consumables are installed by the operator or service technician maintaining the tool. Power down or disconnect the sander from its air supply or electrical source before changing belts. Verify belt tracking and tension after installation before resuming operation. Inspect the contact wheel and platen for wear that could cause uneven belt loading or premature failure.
