The DYNABRADE 59044 is a pneumatic palm-style random orbital sander designed for surface finishing applications in automotive, woodworking, and industrial environments. It accepts a 6 inch round sanding backing pad and operates at 12,000 orbits per minute (OPM) with a 0.09375 inch (2 mm) orbit diameter. Air supply requirements are 14 CFM at 90 psi through a 1/4 inch NPT inlet. The unit produces 0.25 HP and includes a premium urethane weight-mated sanding pad. It is intended for use by professional finishing technicians and experienced tradespeople who require consistent, swirl-free material removal.
This sander is suited for both flat and contoured surface work in production finishing and repair environments. The random orbital action reduces the risk of swirl marks on paint, wood, fiberglass, and similar substrates. The integrated vacuum port allows connection to a central vacuum system or portable vacuum unit, keeping the work surface clear and reducing airborne particulate. The 6 inch pad size makes it appropriate for panel work, cabinet surfaces, and similar medium-to-large area finishing tasks.
Designed for use with standard 6 inch round sanding backing pads and compatible with shop air systems delivering a minimum of 14 CFM at 90 psi through a 1/4 inch NPT connection. A minimum 0.25 inch hose size is required.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified finishing technicians or pneumatic tool operators familiar with air tool safety. Before changing pads or performing any maintenance, disconnect the air supply line from the inlet. Verify that the shop air system delivers the required pressure and CFM before connecting the tool, as insufficient air supply will reduce performance. Use appropriate respiratory and eye protection when sanding, and connect the vacuum port to a compatible extraction system to control dust.
