The DYNABRADE 59035 is a pneumatic palm-style random orbital sander designed for surface finishing, paint prep, and material removal in professional trade and industrial environments. Powered by compressed air at 90 psig, it delivers 12,000 orbits per minute (OPM) through a 5-inch round urethane-backed sanding pad with a 3/32-inch (2 mm) orbit diameter. At 0.25 horsepower and 14 CFM air consumption, it is sized for continuous use on a shop air supply. The 1/4 NPT inlet connects directly to standard compressed-air lines. Weighing 1.4 pounds, the tool is light enough for extended overhead and side-panel work without fatigue.
The 59035 is suited for body shop technicians, industrial painters, millwork finishers, and maintenance professionals who require consistent swirl-free scratch patterns on flat and low-contour surfaces. Typical applications include automotive refinishing, wood furniture finishing, composite surface prep, and general production sanding. The palm grip format keeps the operator's hand close to the work surface, improving tactile feedback on thin stock and finished panels. Designed for use with standard 5-inch round hook-and-loop or PSA sanding discs compatible with a weight-mated urethane backing pad. Requires a compressed-air supply capable of delivering 14 CFM at 90 psig through a 1/4-inch or larger air line.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with pneumatic tool connections and shop air systems. Before attaching or removing the sanding pad or disc, disconnect the tool from the air supply to prevent accidental activation. Ensure the air line is rated for the required CFM and pressure and that inline moisture separators or lubricators are in place per the tool manufacturer and facility guidelines. Do not exceed the rated 90 psig inlet pressure.
