The DYNABRADE 59029 is a 6-inch palm-style air-powered random orbital sander designed for surface finishing, sanding, and preparation work in professional shop and field environments. Powered by compressed air at 90 psig through a 1/4 NPT inlet, the tool runs at 12,000 OPM with a 3/16-inch (5 mm) orbit diameter, delivering consistent swirl-free material removal. Rated at 0.25 HP and requiring 14 CFM airflow, it is sized for use with standard shop compressor setups. The tool includes a premium urethane weight-mated 6-inch round sanding backing pad and features an integrated vacuum port for dust extraction during operation.
This sander is suited for automotive body finishing, woodworking, composite surface prep, and general industrial sanding applications where a random orbital pattern is required to minimize surface scratching. The 6-inch round pad format is a common standard in both production and detail finishing work. The palm grip form factor makes it appropriate for overhead, vertical, and flat surface applications. A minimum 1/4-inch hose is required to maintain adequate airflow to the tool. Licensed trades and shop technicians performing production finishing or surface restoration work are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
Designed for use with standard 6-inch round hook-and-loop sanding discs. Requires a compressed air supply capable of delivering 14 CFM at 90 psig and a minimum 1/4-inch air supply hose.
Connection to the air supply should be made using a properly rated 1/4-inch or larger air line and fittings rated for the operating pressure. Depressurize and disconnect the air supply before changing the sanding pad or performing any service on the tool. Ensure the compressor output meets the 14 CFM requirement to maintain rated tool performance. Dust extraction is recommended; connect the vacuum port to an appropriate collection system before operation in enclosed spaces.
