The DYNABRADE 59025 is a pneumatic palm-style random orbital sander built for surface finishing work across a wide range of trade and industrial applications. It accepts a 6-inch round urethane-backed sanding pad and operates at up to 12,000 orbits per minute (OPM) with a 0.1875-inch (5 mm) orbit diameter, delivering consistent swirl-free scratch patterns on flat and mildly contoured surfaces. The tool runs on compressed air at 90 psi through a 1/4-inch NPT inlet and consumes 14 CFM at rated pressure. At 1.4 pounds, the compact palm grip reduces operator fatigue during extended finishing passes. The included premium urethane weight-mated sanding pad promotes uniform abrasive contact across the full pad face.
The 59025 is suited for body shop finishing, metal fabrication prep, wood surface work, and composite finishing in both shop and field environments. The random orbital action minimizes directional scratch marks, making it appropriate for final-stage sanding before coating, priming, or inspection. The 0.25 HP air motor provides steady output without requiring high-volume compressor setups, provided the air supply meets the 14 CFM demand at 90 psi. A minimum hose size of 0.25 inches is required for proper airflow to the tool.
Designed for use with 6-inch round hook-and-loop or PSA sanding discs compatible with random orbital palm sanders. Requires a compressed air supply delivering a minimum of 14 CFM at 90 psi through a 0.25-inch or larger air hose with a 1/4-inch NPT fitting.
Installation and operation of this tool should follow the manufacturer documentation and applicable workplace safety standards. Always depressurize the air line and disconnect the air supply before attaching or removing the sanding pad or abrasive disc. Verify that the compressor, regulator, and supply hose are rated for at least 90 psi and can sustain 14 CFM continuous flow to prevent tool stall or erratic operation. Inspect the pad and abrasive for damage before each use.
