The DYNABRADE 58435 is a pneumatic palm-style random orbital sander designed for surface preparation, finishing, and material removal in professional trades and industrial environments. It accepts a 6-inch round sanding pad and operates at up to 12,000 orbits per minute (OPM) with a 0.45 HP air motor. The tool requires a 90 psig air supply, consumes 23 CFM at peak demand, and connects via a 1/4 NPT inlet. An orbit diameter of 0.1875 inches (5 mm) produces a fine, swirl-minimized finish suitable for bodywork, fabrication, and surface prep applications. The 58435 ships with a premium urethane hook-face sanding pad pre-installed.
This sander is built for use by auto body technicians, metal fabricators, woodworkers, and industrial maintenance professionals who require consistent orbital action from a lightweight, palm-grip tool. The 6-inch pad size covers broad surface areas efficiently, making it well suited for panel finishing, primer sanding, and coating prep on flat or gently contoured workpieces. A minimum hose size of 0.38 inches is required to maintain adequate airflow and consistent tool performance at the workface.

Installation and operation of pneumatic sanders should follow the compressed-air system requirements specified by the tool manufacturer and applicable shop safety codes. Before attaching or changing the sanding pad, disconnect the air supply line at the tool inlet. Verify that the supply hose meets the minimum 0.38-inch inside diameter requirement to avoid pressure drop and reduced performance. Use a properly rated air regulator and inline filter-lubricator to protect the air motor and maintain consistent OPM output.
