The DYNABRADE 56826 is a palm-style air-powered random orbital sander built for surface preparation, finishing, and material removal on flat and contoured workpieces. It accepts a 6-inch round sanding backing pad and runs at up to 12,000 OPM, delivering consistent scratch patterns suited for paint prep, primer sanding, and final finish work. The tool draws 18 CFM at 90 psi through a 1/4-inch NPT inlet and produces 0.28 HP. A 3/16-inch orbit diameter keeps swirl marks minimal while maintaining aggressive stock removal. The unit ships with a premium urethane weight-mated sanding pad. It is designed for professional use in automotive, woodworking, metal fabrication, and general industrial finishing applications.
The 56826 fits into workflows where a compact, palm-grip tool is preferred over a larger pistol-grip or extended-body sander. The 6-inch pad size is well suited for broad flat panels, body work, cabinet surfaces, and composite materials. At 2 pounds, it reduces operator fatigue during extended use. A 1/4-inch minimum hose size keeps the air supply simple and compatible with standard shop air lines.
Designed for use with 6-inch round sanding backing pads. Connects to any air supply delivering adequate CFM at 90 psi through a 1/4-inch NPT fitting. Pad accessories and replacement sanding discs sized for 6-inch hook-and-loop or PSA backing pads are compatible.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified pneumatic tool technician or experienced tradesperson. Before connecting to an air supply, verify that the line pressure does not exceed the rated 90 psi operating pressure and that the air supply is clean and dry to avoid internal component damage. Use a minimum 1/4-inch inside-diameter air hose and confirm all fittings are secure before use. Always disconnect the air supply before changing pads or performing any maintenance on the tool.
