The DYNABRADE 54777 is a pneumatic angle grinder designed for metalworking and fabrication tasks requiring consistent material removal and surface finishing. It accepts a 4-inch Type 27 wheel and spins at 13,500 RPM, delivering 0.70 horsepower through a right-angle aluminum head. A rear exhaust port directs air away from the work surface and operator. Air supply connects through a 1/4-inch NPT inlet at 90 psi and consumes 40 CFM at rated load. Licensed contractors, welders, and metal fabricators install and operate this tool in production and field environments.
The 54777 fits grinding, blending, and light cutting applications on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Its side handle and composite grip support two-handed control during extended use. The triggerlock feature allows sustained operation without continuous trigger pressure, reducing hand fatigue on longer jobs. At 11.375 inches overall length and 3.5 pounds, it is suited for both bench work and confined overhead or lateral positions common in structural steel, HVAC fabrication, and mechanical contracting environments.
Designed for use with 4-inch Type 27 grinding and blending wheels with a 3/8-24 spindle thread. Requires a compressed air supply capable of delivering 90 psi and at least 40 CFM at the tool inlet.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with pneumatic tool safety and applicable OSHA abrasive wheel standards. Verify the air line is depressurized and the tool trigger is inactive before mounting or changing wheels. Use the correct flange and nut for Type 27 wheels and confirm the wheel guard is properly secured before applying air pressure. Inspect the wheel for cracks or damage before each use and never exceed the wheel manufacturer rated RPM.
