The DYNABRADE 53807 is a straight air die grinder designed for precision grinding, deburring, porting, and finishing work in metal fabrication, automotive, and industrial maintenance applications. Driven by compressed air at 90 psi and rated at 0.5 horsepower, it reaches speeds up to 24,000 RPM and requires 30 CFM of air supply. The front exhaust configuration directs spent air away from the work surface and operator, keeping sightlines clear during close-tolerance work. The lever throttle provides responsive speed control. The 53807 ships with a 1/4 inch collet insert and accepts optional collet inserts in 1/8 inch, 3/8 inch, 6 mm, and 8 mm sizes, making it adaptable across a wide range of mounted point and carbide burr tooling.
The DYNABRADE 53807 is suited for use in industrial maintenance shops, metal fabrication facilities, automotive repair bays, and production line finishing stations. It handles typical straight die grinder tasks including weld blending, die and mold work, port matching, and surface preparation. The compact straight-body format gives technicians good access in confined areas where angle grinders cannot reach. Includes collet insert 50013 (1/4 inch). Compatible with optional collet inserts: 50065 (1/8 inch), 50014 (3/8 inch), 50016 (6 mm), and 50039 (8 mm), allowing use with a broad range of mounted points, carbide burrs, and grinding bits sized to those shanks.
This tool is intended for use by qualified technicians familiar with pneumatic tool operation and shop air system requirements. Before connecting or changing collets, depressurize the air line and verify the air supply is shut off. Ensure the shop compressor and air line are rated to deliver the required 30 CFM at 90 psi; inadequate air supply will reduce performance and can cause premature motor wear. Always inspect mounted points or burrs for cracks or damage before use, and confirm the accessory speed rating meets or exceeds the tool RPM.
