The DYNABRADE 52204 is a 1/4 inch angle air die grinder designed for precision grinding, deburring, and finishing work in industrial and trade environments. Powered by compressed air at 90 psig, it delivers up to 25,000 RPM through a lever-style throttle, giving the operator consistent speed control during close-tolerance work. Rated at 0.4 HP with an 18 CFM air consumption, this grinder features a front exhaust configuration that directs airflow away from the workpiece and operator. It ships with 1/4 inch and 6 mm collet inserts installed and is compatible with an optional 1/8 inch collet as well.
The 52204 is suited for metal fabrication shops, aerospace maintenance, automotive bodywork, and tool-and-die applications where a compact angle-head grinder is required for access to confined areas. The lever throttle provides precise on-off control, making it appropriate for repetitive deburring cycles or finish grinding passes. Professionals working with small-diameter mounted points, carbide burrs, or abrasive stones will find the 1/4 inch collet capacity adequate for standard tooling. The unit weighs 1 pound, reducing fatigue during extended use.
Accepts 1/4 inch and 6 mm collet inserts as included, and is compatible with optional 1/8 inch (01495) and 3 mm (01496) collet inserts. Designed for use with standard air compressor systems supplying 90 psig at the tool inlet.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with pneumatic tooling and applicable workplace safety standards. Before connecting to an air supply, verify the line pressure does not exceed the rated 90 psig inlet requirement and ensure an inline moisture separator or filter-regulator-lubricator unit is in place to protect internal components. Disconnect the air supply before changing collets or mounted tooling. Always confirm the collet nut is fully seated and tightened before running the tool.
