The DYNABRADE 52202 is a straight air die grinder built for precision grinding, deburring, porting, and finishing work in industrial and trade environments. Powered by compressed air at 90 psig, it delivers 0.4 horsepower and spins up to 30,000 RPM, making it well suited for high-speed material removal and detail work on metal, composites, and other hard materials. The lever-style throttle provides controlled, comfortable operation during extended use. Front exhaust routing directs spent air away from the workpiece and the operator. It ships with a 1/4 inch collet insert installed and accepts optional collet inserts for 1/8 inch, 3 mm, and 6 mm tooling.
The 52202 is intended for use by machinists, fabricators, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians who need a compact, high-speed rotary tool for close-tolerance work. Typical applications include weld dressing, cavity work, mold finishing, and port cleanup in manufacturing and maintenance settings. The straight inline body style allows access to confined areas and provides a pencil-grip feel for precise control. At 1 pound, it reduces fatigue during sustained overhead or detailed work.
Accepts the included 1/4 inch collet insert (01485) and fits optional collet inserts: 1/8 inch (01495), 3 mm (01496), and 6 mm (01497). Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch shank rotary tooling including carbide burrs, mounted points, and grinding stones.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with pneumatic tooling and compressed air systems. Before connecting to an air supply, verify that line pressure does not exceed the rated 90 psig and that the air supply is properly filtered, lubricated, and moisture-free to protect internal components. Inspect the collet and tooling for wear or damage before each use, and ensure all tooling is rated for the operating RPM of this grinder. Follow applicable OSHA and ANSI B186.1 safety standards for portable air tools when operating this grinder.
