The DYNABRADE 51706 is a straight air die grinder built for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing in industrial and trade environments. It runs at 35,000 RPM and draws 8 CFM of air at 90 psig operating pressure, producing 0.1 HP of output power. The lever-style throttle gives the operator direct speed control during use. Rear exhaust directs airflow away from the work surface and the operator, keeping the work area cleaner during detailed finishing passes. This tool is intended for use by machinists, fabricators, maintenance technicians, and other trade professionals who require a compact, high-speed rotary tool for close-tolerance work.
The 51706 is suited for grinding, porting, deburring, and blending operations on metal, composite, and other hard materials. Its straight inline body profile allows access to confined areas and recessed cavities where larger tools cannot reach. The lever throttle provides good modulation for variable-speed work. The included high-quality flexible air hose simplifies connection to shop air systems and helps reduce operator fatigue during extended use. This grinder fits production floor, fabrication shop, and MRO maintenance applications where consistent high-speed rotary performance is required.
Designed for use with 1/8 inch shank rotary burrs, mounted points, and compatible die grinder accessories. Requires a compressed air supply capable of delivering 8 CFM at 90 psig. Verify collet size and accessory shank diameter before installing grinding media.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with pneumatic tooling and shop air systems. Shut off and bleed the air supply line before connecting or disconnecting the tool or changing accessories. Inspect the air hose and fittings for leaks before each use, and ensure the supply pressure does not exceed the rated 90 psig. Always install the proper collet size for the accessory shank being used and confirm the accessory is rated for speeds at or above 35,000 RPM before operating.
